About the data
Radar ties every record to one company ID. Jobs updated Oct 23, 2026; trials, FDA records, NIH grants and funding are from the Oct 10, 2026 snapshot.
Sources
| Companies | 8,930 listed companies. Listed companies are the ones with at least one sourced record beyond a name and website. We track the job boards of 870 of them; the other 8,060 have no job board we read yet, so their hiring is Unknown. |
|---|---|
| Job postings | 47,189 postings read from employers' own job boards (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday and others). Each links to the original listing. |
| Clinical trials | 33,436 records from ClinicalTrials.gov (lead sponsor) |
| FDA records | 877 records from openFDA |
| NIH grants | 14,377 awards from NIH RePORTER. Government grants, never counted as funding rounds. |
| Funding rounds | 2,932 events from SEC filings and company announcements. Debt is kept separate from money raised. |
Update cadence
Job boards are scanned daily. Trials, FDA, NIH and funding are refreshed with each published snapshot; the date at the top of every page is the snapshot date.
How to read it
Each area tag has an ⓘ: it shows where the tag came from (the company’s website, an NIH project, or a verified profile). Job role and level tags come from the job title or description.
- Not observed is not “none”. “No hiring observed in our sources” means we did not find postings on the boards we read, not that a company is not hiring.
- Unknown means unknown. Missing values read “Unknown” or “Not observed”, never blank or zero.
- NIH grants are not funding. They are labeled “NIH grant” and never added to money raised.
- Timing is not cause. When two events are close in time we say “around the same time” or “observed after”. Radar does not say one event produced another.
- Job city is not HQ. Job locations come from the posting; headquarters come from company records.
- “New to Radar” is not “newly founded”. It means recently added to Radar.
Listings
Job listings belong to the employers. Radar links to them and does not host applications.
How company stage works
One rule for every company, using only records tied to that company. A company can show every badge that applies (not just the top one): FDA-approved therapeutic company (its own FDA drug or biologic approval, matched by sponsor name to our verified company registry); FDA-cleared device company (its own 510(k), PMA or De Novo); Clinical Phase 3, 2 or 1 (highest phase of a trial it leads on ClinicalTrials.gov that is active or dated in the last 5 years; Phase 4 counts as Phase 3); Preclinical (lead-sponsored preclinical record); Past trials only (its led trials are all older than 5 years); Service / Tools company (CRO, CDMO or tools company with no trials of its own). The Stage filter matches any badge. Sorting uses the highest badge only. We never guess. Every badge links to its source and shows the date we checked it.
How company status works
Every company with jobs on Radar was checked for ownership in public sources. Acquired, now part of X or subsidiary of X: a company, private-equity fund, holding company, family office or employee-owned company holds a majority, and the deal has closed (a dated closing source). A signed deal that has not closed stays active. A minority growth investment does not count. Companies with no dated sign of activity in the last 12 months show Last activity seen: the most recent dated, sourced event we found, or no status line. Companies we found inactive are not listed, unless they still have open jobs; then they stay listed with an inactive label.

Notes on the data
- Every fact on a profile links to its source and carries the date we saw it. When we have no sourced value for a field, the field is left off the page. A missing field means we have not found it in our sources yet; it does not mean “none”.
- Each profile shows one “Profile checked” date: the last time we checked its records (raises, trials, FDA records and NIH grants) in our sources. Not finding a record is not proof that there was no activity.
- A job city is not a headquarters. HQ comes from the company’s own site or an official filing, shown as city and state only.
- NIH awards are government grants, not money raised. Partnerships, licensing and debt are not counted as raised. NIH lines under $1,000 are supplements or administrative adjustments.
- A raise, grant, trial or FDA event next to open jobs does not mean one caused the other.
- Investor relationships come from investor portfolio pages, with the date captured; a portfolio listing can include past investments.
- Some very large careers sites stop listing results at a fixed number; for those, the open-jobs count is shown with a “+”.
- Trials that ClinicalTrials.gov lists without a phase (usually device or behavioral studies) are shown as “Not phased”.
